This is a Socratic lesson. The teacher will introduce the basic concepts of Statistical Inference and will illustrate them with examples. Some concepts will not be completely developed in this lesson because of time constraints, but lessons will follow to promote a deeper understanding. The teacher will encourage all students to actively participate in the discussions. The lesson includes Classroom Investigations 7.1, and homework problems. Students may be assessed at the start of the next period based on discussion of the homework assignment.
